Music To Study To

 I really appreciated the class we had on music, and it got me thinking about how I study. If I don't listen to some kind of music, I find that I get distracted very easily—constantly checking my phone, wasting time on social media, or looking around for a snack. When I first started college, I listened to my favorite music, and found that, unless I was in deep concentration, I got pretty distracted, anyway. Just like Dr. Coyne said, I find that listening to music without lyrics is most helpful, but I've come across a new problem: classical music is my jam. I have a deep, abiding love of classical piano music, and I find myself getting almost as distracted by classical jams as I did from listening to music with lyrics.  Here's my favorite song for some context (3:14-3:50 is the best part if you're in a hurry): I guess I'll just have to deal with little distractions since it's better than big distractions.
